Prayer to Draw Closer to God More Than Ever

Prayer to Draw Closer to God More Than Ever

Many people today have a hard time with their faith. The world can seem dark and scary, and it’s easy to feel like the only way out is to escape into something more light and happy.

The Church has always been and will always be a place where people go when they need consolation, support, or community. It is a place of refuge from the chaos of life, where one can find peace in God’s Word.

The closer we draw to Jesus, the more we will feel his love and the less likely we are to be tempted.

Jesus is always with us, even in times of trouble. He has never left our side and he will never leave us alone.

He wants us to turn to him and listen closely so that we may find peace in times of turmoil – for himself and for us.

God never leaves our side. When we need him to remind us of how much he loves us, he is there. When we need him to strengthen or guide us, he is there. He always has been and always will be.

In today’s day and age, many people are so focused on themselves that they forget about God.

They live busy lives in which they’re always on the go, giving up time for themselves and their family members in order to chase some elusive end goal of success that never seems to come.

But these pursuits are not the most important things in life; God should be the most important thing in our lives because he is all-powerful and a constant companion who will never leave our side no matter what happens.

When You need God More than Ever

prayer to draw nearer to God everyday

Dear Lord, at this difficult time in my life I need you more than ever. It seems like there is a battle going on right now- between my spirit and my flesh. As a result of that, I have started to panic and get stressed about the unknown.  This only results in me thinking about them too much.

I need peace, strength, discipline & focus. God, please help me get them in Jesus’ name!

Dear God,

I am sorry for the pain that we have caused you. I am sorry for the mistakes that we have made and I cannot promise you that we will not make them again, but I can promise that we are trying. I ask that you look after our children and give them a good home. Help them to know who they are and to find their place in this world. Show them how to be good people. Help them to be safe and to be happy and build confidence in themselves

Dear God,

We pray for our voices to be heard. We pray for you to listen to our prayers and to answer them. We pray for revelation. We pray that through your power, we can overcome our obstacles. We pray for the voice of freedom and justice to become louder than the voice of oppression.

Dear God,

I feel so lost and alone. I have been trying so hard to live my life and be a good person. I sometimes feel like I am stuck in the void of life. I want to be happy and enjoy living, but every day is just a struggle. I don’t know what to do anymore and I need help. I want to be myself again. Please help me find the light again.

Dear God,

Please help me, I need to talk to someone.

It’s been a really long time since I have been this upset and I don’t know what to do with myself.

I need someone who will just be there, someone who will listen and not judge.

I’m feeling really alone and abandoned right now.

Dear Lord,

I ask for your help in my time of need. I am so sad and lonely. I get no comfort and solace from this life. Please help me find happiness and peace. I want to be someone that will make a difference in this world.

O Jesus, you who know our needs before we ask,

draw us nearer to you by the Holy Spirit.

Help us to be more like you.

Inflame our hearts with your love,

so that we may experience your joy in this life,

and forever rejoice in your glory in the world to come.

Father Lord, give us a heart and mindset that love to please you always.

For every person that has ever prayed, the desire is always to please God, or to be in his will. However, the question is how can we know what pleases him? The answer comes from understanding why Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He did it so that all of our sins could be forgiven and we could be born again with a new nature; one that loves and obeys and does not sin anymore.

O Lord,

I do not deserve your gracious love.

I deserve your anger and punishment for my sins.

I have not loved you enough.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come to you a broken-hearted woman. I have failed you, I have failed my daughter, I have failed my child. I come to you with a contrite spirit, ready to accept your forgiveness, ready to accept your love. I don’t deserve it but please give me your mercy.

I am asking you for the wisdom and strength to be the parent my child needs me to be. I am asking you for the strength to see this difficult time through, with joy, hope, and love.

Laying it down at the Cross of Calvary

Hebrews 12:1-2

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand.
