What to expect at The Vine Wesleyan Church in Depew, New York…
Our main parking lot is located on the corner of Penora St. and Gould Ave., to the north of the church building. Additional parking is available at the Depew Municipal Building. The parking lot between the church building and the church offices allows quick access to the elevator entrance. You will also find another parking lot, located to the south of the church offices, on Terrace Blvd. Follow the walk-way to the south entrance with the elevator.
The sanctuary is located on the main floor. Restrooms, Children’s & Youth Ministries are located in the lower level. (Please note: the Main Entrance is in the parking lot of Penora and Gould. However, these doors are locked 20 minutes after service begins, for the safety of our children’s ministry. Once these doors are locked, please use either the door by the elevator or the main doors in the front of the church.)
Once you enter the sanctuary, our greeters will guide you to the main sanctuary or help you get your children settled in the children’s area. In the sanctuary, you can expect to find free coffee and refreshments near our Welcome Center. We encourage you to meet our Welcome Center hostess, who can quickly answer any questions you may have and give you a Welcome Packet of valuable information regarding our church and our ministries. Once you have been coming for a few weeks, you may have other questions that surface, such as, How do I join a small group? How do I become a member? What do I do if I want my baby dedicated? How can I get involved in ministry? These and other questions can be answered by a leader from our Ministry Team. Meet us at the Connection Cafe after service and we will be happy to answer any questions you have about our church and taking your next best step.
Our atmosphere is relaxed and dress is casual. We encourage you to “come as you are.”
Our service begins at 9:00AM & 11:00 AM and runs for approximately 70 minutes. Our worship team consists of a full band. Our music is contemporary and leads us into a heart of worship. We normally take communion together once a month. We do not take an offering during the service; offering boxes are available at the back of the sanctuary where you may leave your tithes and offerings on the way out of the sanctuary.
Children are welcome to join parents during the worship service or they may join their peers in age-appropriate children’s ministry in the lower level. We offer quality children’s programming for all children birth through 6th grade. You may sign your child in at the registration table and our Team Leader will introduce you to your child’s teacher. You will receive a number when you sign your child in, and if you are needed during the service, that number will appear on the box in the front of the sanctuary. This assures our parents we can reach them whenever they are needed. You know your children are safe as they learn about God.
All children, PreK through 6th grade participate in an Opening Program at the beginning of the service. This is a time when children worship God through songs, memory verses, object lessons and prayer. Children then divide into age-appropriate classes to dive further into their lessons, do crafts and engage in small group activities. All workers are carefully screened, including background checks.
