Sermonette: Making wise decisions

How do you make wise decisions? If you’re like most of us, you don’t! But you can.

Wisdom is the ability to develop the best course of action in response to a given situation. Ask yourself, “What is the wise thing to do?”

It’s not wise to make decisions when your heart is a mess; it can lead to all kinds of evil.

If you look at things from a wise standpoint, wait on God to make known to you the right decision to make.

God’s way is best for you. Do you submit to Him being Lord over your whole life? Do you make an effort to find out what God thinks about everyday decisions, or are you too lazy to care?

When you want to make wise decisions, don’t rush into them “without thinking” or praying. How many times have you done that, only to deal with negative consequences?

Seek the counsel of trusted friends and advisors. And seek the Lord’s guidance, so you know that you know that you know in your heart you’re making a wise, Godly decision.
