Good Friday Buffalo event!

Easter means many different things to different people, but in WNY, churches are gathering together to celebrate and reflect on the meaning of Good Friday.  Good Friday Together will take place at First Niagara Center in downtown Buffalo on Friday, March 29th at 7pm.

Congregations from all around the area are setting aside denominations, associations, and differing locations in order to join together for the remembrance of the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross over two thousand years ago.  This unprecedented gathering of so many churches on a Good Friday is a first in the region.

There will be guest speakers from local WNY churches and the Christian community such as Pat Jones, Marty Macdonald, Roderick Hennings, Jill Kelly, Darius Pridgen, Angel Gautier, and Jerry Gillis.  Along with all of these speakers and churches gathering together, an offering will be taken.  None of the funds that are gathered from the offering will be distributed to any church, speaker or musician.  The funds will be distributed to help fulfill needs in the city of Buffalo and will likely be dispersed to multiple groups in need in the areas of education, sustainable housing, healthcare, and teen mentoring.

Good Friday Together is a free event, open to the public and is all inclusive, so any and all who would like to experience this combined gathering are welcome to attend.

Why are the doors opening so early?

Since we are anticipating a large crowd, we want to give plenty of time for people to find a good seat. Those who arrive early also have an excellent opportunity to pray for the event and all who are attending.

Is this event affiliated with any one denomination or ministry?

No. Good Friday Together is a Christian event, focusing on Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. It is open to all people, from any church background, or no church background at all. Though there will be a great expression of diversity in worship, there is just one purpose: to lift up the name of Jesus as one Church!
